Enoch walked with God but God he was not.
He listened to The Father and after Him he sought.
He had a son you’ve heard of; His name meant “It will be sent”
Enoch never had to die, straight up to heaven he went.
Methuselah, Enoch’s son is still the oldest known to man.
God told Enoch that when Methuselah died, a flood would be sent to the land.
Methuselah had a grandson who I’m sure you also know.
His name was Noah and God gave him instructions to follow.
When Noah built the ark he went by orders from above
For 120 YEARS He worked for God in fear and love.
He built with divine specifications, a certain height and width.
No one believed the flood would come, but Noah knew ‘it would be sent’.
On year nine hundred and sixty nine, Methuselah succumbed to death
Gods perfect picture of long suffering had been given his last breath.
That day God said to Noah, “it’s time to Come In.”
He gathered his family together, the 7 of his kin.
Beasts of the field and flocks from the air, two of every kind
Noah tried to tell the people, but no believer could he find.
As God shut tight the door, I’m sure Noah’s heart was sad.
Noah had warned this day would come but the people assumed him to be mad
It seemed unreal that it would rain, it never had before
But for 40 days and 40 nights the rain pounded at the door.
I know Gods heart was broken yet of Noah He was pleased
Noah tried to save them, then had to hear their screams
The ones he had warned now trying to get in needed saving from the flood
That’s just what it will be like if you aren’t covered by Jesus’ Blood.
Noah proved himself to be meek and literally inherited the world
The ark surely rocked and the wind surely whirled.
The Father suffered long for the people to take heed
But they hardened their hearts against Him and of God they had no need.
I’ve often asked the question, “Lord why are we still here?”
But after studying this happening the answer is very clear.
Jesus wants you to heed to His message, “I’ll surely come again”
I promise if you accept Him, you’ll find no greater friend.
He doesn’t want to leave you, He wants you to be aboard.
You don’t have to know all the answers, just cling to His Holy Word.
Put all your trust in Jesus and your soul will have no end.
His path is straight and narrow. no forks, loops or bends.
He shed His blood on Calvarys cross so our souls could be saved.
He forgave all our transgressions and made sure our debt was paid.
Jesus gave the warning long ago and wants you to take heed
I beg you now to take His hand and trust He’s ALL you need
One day it will be too late and the door will finally close.
When that time is coming, no one really knows.
Don’t be left here hopeless, stubborn and afraid.
Todays the day to meet Him, so you too can be saved.
His longsuffering love for me inspires me to love suffering-long.
